Will I actually use it, or will it end up as decoration?
That is the right question to ask, and the honest answer is that it depends entirely on where you put it.
The reason this works when a phone app didn't is that it sits on a door you open twenty times a day. There is no lock screen in front of it and no feed behind it. Put it somewhere you already stand — the fridge, the kettle, the front door — and it gets pressed. Put it in a drawer and it won't.

Does playing a recording count as reciting?
No, and we don't claim it does. This plays a recording. It does not recite, and we are not going to sell it as though it did.
What it does is remove the friction between meaning to have the Qur'an playing in your home and actually having it playing. Somebody in the room is listening, which is a real thing, and it is the only thing we claim.
If you want a ruling on the practice itself, ask your local imam rather than a shop.
Does it really hold on a fridge door?
Yes. The magnetic back holds through a slammed door, and it will hold on a whiteboard, a radiator, or a steel kitchen unit just as well.
It will not hold on an integrated fridge with a wooden door. If that is your kitchen, the box it arrives in doubles as a stand.
Can children use it on their own?
That is the point of it. One press plays, one press stops. There is no screen and nothing to get lost in. The volume is tuned for a room rather than an ear, so it cannot be turned up to a harmful level.
It is a household device rather than a toy — it just happens to be the rare one in the house a four-year-old and a grandparent can both operate.

Full description
For the prayer area, the hallway, the kids' room — anywhere there is no steel to hold on to.
A steel disc, 65 mm, that goes on the wall and disappears behind the player. Your player's magnet does the rest, so it comes off to charge and goes back without fuss.
Two ways to fix it, both in the box: 3M VHB adhesive if you rent, a screw and wall plug if you'd rather do it properly. Sits smaller than the player, so nothing shows.

Care & charging
- Charge with any USB-C cable. A full charge takes about 2 hours, and it keeps playing while it charges.
- Wipe with a dry or barely damp cloth. It is not waterproof — keep it off the draining board.
- The magnet is strong. Slide it off the fridge rather than pulling it straight out.
What it will not do
- It does not recite for you. It means somebody in the room is listening, which is not the same thing and we are not going to pretend it is.
- It has no screen, and there will never be one.
- There is no app, no pairing, no account and no microphone. It cannot do anything except recite.
- It is not waterproof.

Which reciters are included?
The complete Qur'an is recited by Sheikh Mishary Alafasy. Selected surahs are also available from Maher Al-Mu'aqily, Yasser Al-Dosari and Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais. Morning and evening adhkār are included, alongside vocals-only nasheeds for children.
How long does the battery last?
Around three hours of continuous playback. In normal household use — twenty minutes here, half an hour there — that is a week or more between charges. It charges over USB-C in roughly two hours, keeps playing while it charges, and it arrives charged.
Is there a translation?
The Complete Qur'an Player plays Arabic recitation only. Urdu translation is available on selected Surah Players — look for the ones marked with a translation in the surah list.
Where do you ship?
Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe, the US and Canada, plus most of the rest of the world. Rates and timings are on the delivery page. Duties outside Australia are the recipient's responsibility.
